Baked Flounder with Buttermilk and Chives

Preheat oven to 375oF.  Butter a low-rimmed baking pan.

Rinse and pat dry the flounder fillets; place on buttered pan.

Stir salt into buttermilk, then brush fillets with salted buttermilk.

Sprinkle with chopped chives and black pepper.

Bake in preheated oven for 8 – 10 minutes.  Serve.


These exceptional skinless fillets are from fish harvested in Alaska. China or Thailand becomes the listed “Country of Origin” when the frozen flounder get sent whole to Asia for fileting (guess they’re too busy with salmon up north).
